Conformity assessment for expansion of DAkkS accreditation for flow rate in Höntzsch calibration laboratory

An external evaluation for the expansion of our existing DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation to include volume flow, took place from 29th - 30th September 2015. During this time the assessor, Alexander Wolf from the PTB (National Metrology Institute of Germany), gained a comprehensive overview of procedures in the laboratory and was present as a comparative measurement with a PTB turbine gas flowmeter was carried out on the AVP (atmospheric volume flow test bench).

 

The addition of the DAkkS accreditation for volume flow / flow rate of gases complements our already existing service for DAkkS-accredited calibration for flow velocities. The AVP covers a flow rate of 1.5 m³/h to 5,500m³/h with the slightest uncertainty of 0.25 %. Our wind tunnel for flow velocities is accredited in the range from 0.1 m/s to 70 m/s.

 

This means that in future all Höntzsch measuring instruments can be calibrated in our own calibration laboratory in conformity with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005.
