Audit to expand DAkkS accreditation of the Höntzsch calibration laboratory – adding low flow rates

From 09/30 – 02/10/2020, in the course of the surveillance assessment of our calibration laboratory, the technical expert’s assessment to expand our accredited measuring range to volume flows of less than 5 m³/h took place. Our calibration laboratory has been accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 since 2013. In 2015 we also added gas flow rate from 5 m³/h up to 5,500 m³/h to our scope of accreditation.

Expanding our scope of accreditation according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 to smaller gas flow rates was the next logical step in the development of our calibration laboratory in order provide full accredited in-house calibration services for Höntzsch’ whole sensor portfolio offered.

In the future, this expansion of the accreditation allows us to perform accredited calibrations according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 on the Höntzsch GmbH & Co. KG calibration laboratory’s test stands for gas flow rates from 22 l/h to 5,500 m³/h with a smallest specifiable measurement uncertainty of less than 0.39% of the measured value or for the mass of flowing gases in the range from 27.5 g/h to 6,000 kg/h.

Thanks to our accreditation in the area of flow velocities of gases with a range from 0.1 m/s to 70 m/s all Höntzsch sensors can now be DAkkS-calibrated in the Höntzsch calibration laboratory according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018.
