Vane wheel anemometer FA – for measuring the flow rate of gases and liquids

Fixed measurement of flow with vane wheel measuring tubes (also suitable for measuring hydrogen)

Vane wheel measuring tubes are designed for fixed applications in pipelines or ducts. Installation is direct and irrespective of positioning. They are ideally suited for measuring low rates of gas flow in clean gases, briefly also in a particle-laden medium, and have inside diameters ranging from 9.7 to 150 mm. Measuring tubes receive an accurate volumetric calibration. Furthermore, they excel thanks to their marginal pressure loss and high turndown ratio 1:80. Connection is via flange, mechanical joint, screwed fittings, nipple, etc.

Sensors in this design are ideal for fixed measuring applications, such as the flow rate measurement of hydrogen, recirculation flue gas, process gases, exhaust gases, also in combination with high medium temperatures of up to 550 °C.

Measuring the volume flow rate of other gases such as air and oxygen as well as gas compositions is also possible with this design of sensor, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications, including almost all Ex-requirements (ATEX, CSA).
